Need Advice Removing Oil Plug

I bought a 1952 G and cannot get the oil drain plug to come loose so I can change the oil. It is so tight that I sheared off two corners with the wrench. Please help.

Thank You!

I had the same thing when I got my G. Mine had been in the fence row for about ten years so I didn't think too much of it. I wound up drilling a hole in the plug and using a "close quarter hack saw" split the plug and took it out with a cold chisel. It was a messy job, but I replaced the plug with a later style with the hex head so I could use a socket and breaker bar if it got stubborn again.

Weld a nut on it so you can use a six point socket on it but be careful not to weld on it too long. Don"t set the oil on fire. rw

I would heat the bolt till it got red hot, while it is still hot get a 6 point socket one size too small and beat it on. let it cool off. then turn it out.
