Need Ford Corn Picker Parts

Anyone have any idea where I can find parts for a Model 16-65 Ford Corn Picker I just bought?
I plan to restore it over the winter and some of the shields are missing and the mounting pins are now bolts. It is in pretty good shape mechanically. The guy I bought it from picked three wagon loads of corn with it and it seemed to pick and dehusk well.

I know I'm a long way away in New Jersey, but I have a 16-65 sitting in the scrap line waiting to be hauled away. What shields are missing? I don't know if this one has what you need. There may not be many parts on it still useable, as it ended up in the fencerow because it was used hard and used up.

Jim,

Thanks for the reply. I will get a list of what I need togather. I know I need the shield on the rear of the picker, the front mounting pins, the mounting angles that connect the picker to an N series Ford tractor and the shaft at the top of the wagon elevator. Also if you are scrapping out the 16-65 I would also like to buy the dehusking rollers.

I wish you were closer. I would like to buy it from you just to keep it out of the scrap yard. If you are interested in selling it please let me know and I may be making a road trip.

Thank you.

This machine has been setting out for some time and the fan and other areas are rusted through. The rear shield is in bad shape, as it once got hung up on something and is all crinkled up. I think I've got the axle brackets in the shop still for 8N/Naa/640. The pins might still be there too. I know there are two good rubber husking rollers in the back corner. The ones on the machine I think are shot. I'll see if the snapper elevator chain and paddles are still any good . . . I remember that one being an oddball that was impossible to find links to fit once the old Ford dealer ran out. I think the top shaft and sprocket on the wagon elevator are still good. Snoots are still OK if you want them.

This is a 1-row, but they shared a lot of common parts. What does the two row drive pulley look like?

Sounds great Jim! On the rear shield even if it is beat up I can still use it as a pattern to make a new one. I would be glad to buy all of the parts you have including the snoots. Please let me know what you want for them and I will send you a check.

I will be driving to Newark in the middle of March so I will be able to pick up all the parts with my truck. Please add for storage until then if that is OK.

My email is paul"at"goldnblu.com if you would like to take this discussion off-line.

Thank you.
