Need help identifying Oliver disk harrow

Hello, I have an 8" Oliver disk, no transport wheels, the gang angles are adjustable with 18" disks. Does anyone know the model number? Hopefully the photos show up. Thank you, Devin

We had an 8 ft just like that back in the mid 70's and early 80's. We pulled it with a Cockshutt 70 standard in 2nd gear or a cockshutt 20 in second gear. The 70 would pull it in third also. Considering the 70 was already 35+ year s old then, we made a practice of using second.
Great disc. It worked well. Only downfall was it took a lot of grease to grease it.
Good luck with it. From my memories it is well worth saving.

I'm 99.9 percent sure that it is a TGP series disc manufactured in the late 30s early 40s. It should be 7" spacing on the blades and the 28 disc model as you have here denotes it as the 7-B model in this series. I pulled this out of my original parts book for tillage equipment from 38-40 built items. The pictures in the book look identical to this one. Nice find and it even looks like a little paint is left here or there. If you have any other questions on this disc let me know.

Thank you to all for responding!
Is the "Power Angled Disk" part of the TGP designation? Do you know what the part number for the owners manual might be? I would like to order one from the Floyd County Historical Society.
Thank you again, Devin

There is no mention of Power Angle disc in the original literature I have. It is a TGP series of double disc harrows and your 28 blades denote it as a model 7-B. The 7-B came in 18" 20" and 22" blade sizes. I would ask for a manual for a TGP series disc. The manual probably covers the different models in that series which are 5-B, 6-B, 7-B and 8-B. I wouldn"t think it would be a problem for them to find it for you. Good luck.

I have a Book of Oliver volume 3 and a 1940 price
book and they both show a TGP disc and it dont look like his. I have a book that has set up and
operating instructions and parts for a power angle disc dated 9/41. I also have a piece of
Oliver literature of the Power Angle disc dated
10/58. The price book does not have the Power
Angle in it.
