Need help to identify

Looks like nice late '47 to early '49 VAO.weak points are PTO gears if you bush hog and reverse idler gear.A slip clutch will protect the PTO gears I have never torn up the reverse idler gear but have bought tractors that were. both are easy to fix.There should be a serial tag on the dash with 7 digits,subtract 4 from the first 2 numbers to get the year.Good luck and keep us posted.Nick

When you look at the serial # it should list it as a VAC 13. It looks as if it has the correct wide front, that is non adjustable. It will probably be a 1953 or 54. I have the VAC 14 which has the wide front that is adjustable. If it was a VAO the exaust would be under the back axle.

Hi;

This tractor is not a VAC13. It is a VAO, pre 1950 or late 49. It has the kingston hydraullic pump and power lift. You have to have the clutch out and the belt pulley turning to power the hydraullic pump. The live pump and eagle hitch came out in 1950 or late 49. That low steering wheel and platform is VAO. The seat looks like an after market. The VAO seat sat down on the housing like a Ford. The sheet metal, steering and front axle was changed in 1952.
