I recently bought a 1951 John Deere gw. It has the same tranny as our 70 the 3 speed with high low lever. When I brought it home and unloaded it like all of us I headed up the driveway to hear her lug down and pop on the hill of our drive.. About half way up in 5th gear it began to slip and make a clicking noise.. I disengaged the clutch put it in 3rd and drove it back to the house. It works fine in all gears in high and low except 5/6 I can feel it click in gear but when I engage the clutch it's like it's in neutral.. Background on the tractor is it came from a collector that has top quality deeres been sitting for 15 years and we got it operational agiain.. Any idea what this is? I was thinking shifting fork out of adjustment. Thanks in advance for any help...
