My sister acquired a non running 1940 (by serial number) tractor. Can you guess who has been volunteered to fix it? The carb was missing until one was found in a box with a good protective coating of rust. There isn't an identifier tag on it. The only markings are the Marvel Schebler stamp and a large capital 'G' stamped in the side of the cast iron top. I will need a rebuild kit, I have no clue which one. Is there a 'standard' carb for the 9N? It has lots of loose wires on it but I already found a wiring diagram posted by oneofeach, thank you.

Hi SparepartsTN, 9n, and 2n, and early 8n, came with Tsx 33 carb. Ford settled on Tsx 241-B for later 8ns.( Tsx241 came first, then Tsx 241-A.)
Tsx 33 on the left has no brass screw, the later Tsx 241-B has one.

My suggestion would be to measure the jets, and leave them alone if sizes are like these. Its easy to twist the slot and bugger em up. And buy parts separately when needed. (Kits for Tsx 241-B will fit TSX 33.)
This screenshot from a carb rebuilding post by GB in MT., and JMOR (RIP) from way back.

Thank you soaked. The carb I have is different.
