new NATPA rules

Can anyone tell me where to find the 2012 NATPA rule changes? The NATPA website states the rules are good through 4/2012. As an earlier post refers to a 460 in Div.1,the year rules must have changed. Thanks in advance for your help.

The division 1&2 rule's changed to year of 1959 also chrome is allowed. This also allow 1959 tractors in division 2T so in that class you could run a 460/560 with a 301.

If they dont want us little guys with the actual antique tractors to pull with them, why dont they just say so??? Everybody knows that when you let the 460s and 560 and the likes in the same class as the old JD Bs and As, we wont be able to shake the sled...

rcp the rank and file are the ones that voted the rules in so i would not think they would be too upset. anythng else you would like to show your ignorance about? go ahead i'm sure you're capable. oh and one more thnig, what is a "big goy"? never heard of one of those

check the rules 1-2-3 and 2tc have speed limits so if an a pulls against a 460 you both have to be under the speed limit and if your A can't run 2 1/2 mph you don't have enough anyway, there's no one saying they don't wan't the little guys except the little guys who are saying this, I have no fear of a 460/560 in a speed limit class.

no VicS 'ol bob bryan is totally against that, you must have been in his class when they let you pull it that year at Princeton

Hi Mark Us

Would you like to discuss this in person?

Obviously only the ones at the meeting could vote, was there a quorum of members at the meeting?

Also, thanks for pointing out my typo, big goys was supposed to be big boys.

I try to call it a 58 but it really is a 59. In all truth in 1958 my Dad tried to order one. Our dealer had info they were supposed to be available, but he couldn"t get a 435 yet. So we bought a IHC 350 utility diesel instead. But that winter our neighbor to the south got one. It might have been Nov. or Dec. of 58. But could have been Jan. of 59. Not that it makes any difference. I guess tractors are like cars the new models come our 6 months before the year. LOL Vic

Yep and Everybody knew it up front. Also We didn't take any prize money. Did we go any faster than anybody else?

That is funny how truth comes out, nice call brian, it seems Vic s is not as honest as he lets on and gets mad when he gets caught.

Jacob pull your 560 in the 3500 class.....your only breaking one rule just like year limit or the people that dont follow tire rules!!!

Don"t worry too much rcp. Mark us" aggression just stems from over compensateing for the fact that he let everyone know that he was unable to read, in a prior post few weeks ago.lol..

RCP everyone has an equal chance to attend a meeting it's after the pull on Friday every year. This rule was voted on last year and passed by a large majority and was tried to get voted in this year for Div. III but failed by a slim majority. And yes it was a room full of members that voted it in, in fact it was packed full last year they were standing down the hall if I remember right. That was the meeting where we tried to get top cuts allowed because, as was admitted, it's impossible to tell one from the other. Everyone needs to realize that the equalizer IS the MPH rule

VicS I'd like to see you pull it in exibition it cost the same and pays pretty much the same. I believe they would go along with it and it would show you're a good sport about it and also would show how you have no advantage over anything else out there. Hey we might just get it voted in next time. Give it a try.

Jim

Yes all models are from time of sales beginnig to end of production. The best way to figure the year of start of production is when the company called the model start, ie; a 57' Chevy began sales in 1956 but was still called a 57'

what is it that you want to discuss in person, now in caps, RCP? maybe your rudeness or maybe your jumping to conclusions of which you have no clue? have you always decifered you own conclusions to matters you have no clue about? i had a grandmother that use to do that, bless her soul. she wasn't right very often but it seemed to keep her occupied

i have no aggression but he seems to have. my problem is with people that insert themselve into a conversation and have nothing to add but ridicule. he proved he knew nothing about what he spoke. the thread you refered to is one where i appologized for misunderstanding so now you should be man enough to do the same, but you won't
