On Monday I picked up a Case SC at a local consignment auction. My family already has a collection of Case tractors but this is the first one I can call my own. The tractor possibly was sold new through my family's dealership. It's a 1941 model, and it has several of the early features of the series such as the solid rear wheel centers, deep clamshell fenders, original steering wheel design, and a motor lift. It's not among the earliest of the production run though because it has the ribbed engine block and offset exhaust. The sides of the hood also have the bolt holes for the chrome strips that the first year of production had, but I'm not sure if this particular unit would have had them originally. It will be a slow restoration, but will be a lot of fun I'm sure.
