Another 1 cent worth here. You may want to pull a tractor in with a mower on back to work on it. The divider wall would be in the way. A ZTR mower and other push mowers and trimmers will take almost the same room as a tractor.

Next to the foundation on both sides of the main room add some 3/8 chain anchors with rebar run through the end link. About 2 or 3 on each side would handle About anything that needed tied down to straighten. If you needed to pull a dead tractor in, you could run a chain across to the 2 chains near the divider wall and then add a come along or winch to pull them in. Don't put them in the middle of the floor where they would be in the way.

Think about where your shop vice will go. I've had occasion to put in long pieces that may stick out in both directions with the ends needing support. Then it needs some heavy anchoring when trying to bend a long piece of pipe, bar, or something. If you have another chain anchor in or near that location you could anchor the vice and table down with a short chain and link from a mounting bolt underneath.

I'm still considering not doing that but IDK. Walls can be built last thing.

Another option would be is to run some wire or rod across the width for curtain rod hangers. Get a few 7 by 9 foot blue tarps for curtains if you want to block an area off for heat or painting. Like what they do in hospital rooms. Cheap and versatile. When I installed some shelving in one corner of the barn, I ran a wire and added some blue tarp to cover them instead of doors.

Building a Wood Frame 25x35 shop in my back yard. Would like to partition off a single car garage area with workbenches, and make the rest open shop.I'll have a 6 inch thick slab that will be painted/sealed, spray foam insulated, mini-split hvac, i-beam trolley with chain hoist in gable of roof, (2) 8 ft. swing out doors on gable end that go to bigger area of shop, (1) 8 ft garage door on the other end (side) that goes to the single partioned space. Building will be used to work on and restore small tractors, VW kit car, old pickup, etc.

Any ideas on layout of the space with "tools & stuff" ?

Would like ideas on creating an open but partitioned area for a computer desk/office to look up parts, keep up with projects, and edit videos for my YouTube channel.

I like your layout to see what fits where. I would change the bench in the garage area to be in front of the truck, you may have already thought of that. My shop is 24 ft just like yours but I added a overhead door both front and back. I thought my LWB truck would fit in that space just fine even with it being a crew cab but the overhead doors take up about a foot of length on each end.

Your office layout creates a lot of wasted space behind where you are sitting with the desk between where you are sitting and the door. That's a good layout if you have customers coming in as the desk is between you and them. However, if just an office for you the separation isn't necessary.

Could find a corner in the shop where your shelving will be to put your safe behind with a plywood door to hide it from thieves. Doesn't take too much to break into one with all the shop tools you will have in there.

It's big enough to hold your 10 million in gold bullion and we don't want a thief to see it and get it.

I don't see a place for a heater and air conditioner. With those interior walls it will be expensive to heat those separate spaces.

You could also entertain the idea of divider walls that are on casters etc. that can be moved in the future without tearing things apart.

I’m tossing idea around of making that office 4 foot wider to inside of shop and having a small hunting closet and room for couch, tv, and make something like these ….
