New (to me) MF35 Utility (Turf Special)

On Saturday, I take delivery of my first tractor, a 1962 35 Utility (Turf Special) (ID Tag: UGM656000011).

It has a 4-cylinder Contential Gas engine, 3x2 transmission, 2 stage clutch, standard (no ground speed) PTO, power steering, accelerator pedal, split brakes, basic tachometer (not a Tractormeter, speed ranges are listed on the right fender), quadrant throttle plate (the thing with the notches to prevent the throttle lever from creeping), standard tractor wheels and tires (not the small rims and wide tires seen elsewhere on the Turf Specials), and of course is yellow.

I know what you mean I had one and put 13.6x28's on it . Would do over 25 on the road.

The difference is the transmission used in the turf tractors had different gearing to make them run the same speed with the short turf tires.

Nice looking and easy to work on.

I've got a 35 Utility with a loader, heavy cast front axle. Very similar to your machine, but much more annoying to work on with the loader in the way.
