New to pulling

HI all i just started to get into antique tractor pulling i have a 46 farmall h that is pretty much set up to pull i have oversized pistons lenghtened the rod stroked the crank put a cam in it and done some head work to it i was wondering on some ways to cut down some weight on it i have takin off the pto the belt pulley the hyd pump put after market air cleaner on i have pressed steel on the back and just bought a set of hubs to put pressed steel on the front can anyone out there give me some more ideas on other ways to cut down any help would be nice thanks and good luck to all this pulling season
 
If you haven't allready, you should check with your local clubs and you might find your H is ready the way it is. Some places wont let a seriously lite weight tractor in a smaller class because of the higher power level.
If its designed to run way over stock RPMs then you should keep spending for aluminum wheels, weight brackets, radiator and fiberglass tanks ETC otherwise you could competing against bigger tractors. Have fun and good luck.
 
I have foamed a rearend out to run only 3 quarts of oil and that helped. I made plastic to fit and then took some expanding foam and foamed it. Just make sure you get flexabele plastic and make sure the gears and bearings get oil. I have also removed all excess stuff like light bar. i also put a diffrent pto unit on it. I hade the one that stuck out of the rearend and i puit one on that is flush. My rig weight is 3300 with me on it and i am a big boy
