I would like to say I enjoy looking and reading on this forum. Hopeing to learn alot about restoreing old iron. Some time soon hope to get started on restoreing a old Case tractor.

Welcome. I too have found the forum to be very valuable. Be sure to checkout tactor talk, restoration, and implement alley, if you are doing work on the old Case.

You can ask any kind of queation, and you will usually get good response.s. and nobody makes fun of ya for asking such a question. Somebody out there has an answer. Some time one can create quite a discussion on a topic. I think I check YT nearly every day just sto see what is going on. I have 2 CASE that I have done and just finished doing a JD 2 row checkwire planter. Got all kinds of help and advise when I did these. You sort of have common interest with others and even as you resd through, you can learn a lot. Welcome aboard.

territory myself in 1987, good country. I live in
Texas and restore Case LAs. Yes this is a great
discussion forum for the Case tractor lovers of

I just started a few weeks ago, found the forum by accident
and have already had fun sharing, talking, and asking my
own questions. I am pleasantly surprised to find others that
love Case as much as I do. I live in LA- (lower Alabama) and
there is only a couple or three folks down here that "know"
about Case and are looked down on by the green folks. I love
watching the Cases out pull the poppin johnnies at the pulls
and watch the greenies scratch their heads and wonder how
it happened, I heard one guy say "damned ole Case"- funny.
I guess he forgot who put the poppin johnnies out to pasture.

Good to see another in Alabama. I'm about half way between Montgomery and Auburn. I've just taken my old 430 apart to get the crankshaft ground and put new bearings in it. My 430's previous owner tried to hide it by painting it green. The paint job kept dealers from accepting it as trade-in from the 80 year old previous owner who needed a shorter tractor to craw up on so I got an ugly but cheap 430 that ran for twelve years before needing work.
