After 15 years of waiting and wishing, paying for everything else, finally was able to get a proper building for my tractors. It's 32x56, with a 8x56 porch. Got the call it was done, ran up last weekend and drove and dragged everything inside, still have room for a few more tractors! come spring I'll smooth the ground and plant some clover around it, keep my eyes open for a big Ford sign. Got some Aderondack chairs on sale, still in the boxes, will paint in the spring and put on the porch, along with a picinic table.

Very nice!!
Now thats gotta make you happy. You will have it filled up in no time.
I partitioned about 14X24 of mine out, insulated, heated- man cave/shop. I spend more time there than in my house.
Congrats on the new toybox!
Pike- the envious (has no porch)

Beautiful building. Should give you room for many more tractors in the future. Does it have an overhead door on the other end? With a building that large it sure would come in handy. When I had my pole barn built, I had them put in provisions for an overhead door on the far end, but never got around to getting it in. Now with a barn full of tractors etc. I wish I had.

JC builders from Phillips, WI. They did a great job, only thing I think I'll change if possible, is to change the trim piece under the sheet metal on the porch to red, will give continuity from the red corner trim.

Fantastic. That is what I call a tractor garage. Some times if you wait long enough and try hard enough you can get something nice just for your self. However, that is more then nice that is great.

Not sure what artist windows are. All windows are real, with the top of the west side wall clear polycarbonate, was going to have skylights in the roof, but the builder suggested this instead, said too many leaks with clear panels in the roof, looked at a polebarn close to here he built with the same method, liked it and went with it.

Very nice,,, I have 5026 Ft of mostly in-closed storage/shop,,, and a few sheds,,, one thang I have learned,,, the more storage you build the more junk you accumulate...

With excavating, concrete and materials and labor, about 35k. The builder was a little more expensive than other bidders, but he does a few extra things. There is a foam liner liner under the sheet metal on the roof, so no dripping in the spring from condensate, a double sill plate with treated wood on the bottom, and a few others. With work, night school and kid stuff, I gave up on the idea of building it myself. Called the builder, gave him a check and a few weeks I've got storage. I'll do what I know and keep working overtime, there are times it's just best to to pay someone who knows what they are doing.

That's true, but MY junk is my treasures. I tell my wife she can have an auction when I'm dead, in the meanwhile I'll just keep accumulating good junk for "her" auction. Ha, Ha.

A VERY good price. A VERY nice shop. I'm guessing that it is all 'tin' clad, not insulated nor wired. Good on ya!

My funeral will B at 9am,,, the auction will start at 10AM,,, sign up at the funeral... My wife will B look'n for over the bidder for another man ,,, bid high to impress her...

Congratulations, that is a beautiful building. I have been thinking of building something similar only a tad smaller (money is tight!)

I'm a big fan of pre-engineered clear span steel buildings. You can design to your spec and buy one online and have it delivered to your site for about half of what the builders around here want to put up a similar size pole barn. For anything of any size you will need an experienced crew to do the erection. Here is a 40x75 I put up a few years ago. Fully insulated and delivered to my site for 23K. The steel erection crew was another 10K and it took them about 10 days to erect the steel, insulate, install windows and man doors and side it. I did all the concrete, electrical wiring, and hung the overhead doors myself.

I purchased it from [u:2364b84ee7]SteelBuilding.com[/u:2364b84ee7]- check it out - they have a free design and instant quote system that I used and I am a very satisfied customer. The only "surprise" was the local permits office made me set it on some very substantial piers complete with stem wall - more rebar and concrete than they used to bury Jimmy Hoffa. One thing is for sure - it ain't going to blow away

(quoted from post at 14:01:49 12/12/10) No heat, just storage.

I just hung a 150K BTU LP gas unit heater in the middle bay of mine. Paid $850 from a greenhouse supply and it easily heats all three bays. Mighty toasty when you have to work on the machinery in the winter ;-) I shut the heat off at night and use a 150K kerosene forced air construction heater that I fire up along with the unit heater in the morning to bring it up to temp. Let them both run for about 20 minutes while I eat my eggs then shut the construction heater down. The unit heater is nice and quiet and holds the temp wherever I set the thermostat for the remainder of the day.
