NH Ford /Fait

What's New Hollands relationship to Fait. From what I understand either Fait bought Ford or Ford bought Fait. Whose engines are used in New Holland tractor.
Thanks in advance to all who reply.

Fiat owns the New Holland/Case New Holland conglomerate.

Ford has been out of it for quite a few years.

I have not kept up with it, but Fiat and Cummins do have an agreement where they developed this new engine which I am sure they use plus a few other made in Europe tractors as well. My neighbor has one, likes it, better fuel ecomony than his green tractors.

Fiat is in the business of buying things. They bought FordNewHolland. The bought controlling interest in CaseInternational. They bought a bunch of other companies too....
As far as I know, Fiat is the controlling shareholder in CaseNewHolland Global or something to that effect. It's a publicly traded company in which Fiat owns most of it. Fiat is a Private company...

Which engines? Used in what tractor or machine?
A lot of the smaller compact stuff uses ISM engines. The next series up uses Iveco/Fiat engines. The next jump uses the new EEC Iveco/Cummins engine. I think if you look closely at the 6 cylinders, they score about 6.7 liters, about the same fame as the new Dodge engines....
Above that the use a mixture of Iveco and Cummins engines I believe, depending on what you're looking at.
There are still some fo the last Ford Genesis engines used in one series of basic spec tractors which are actually knocked down TS tractors restyled I believe. That would be the very very last of the Ford lineage.

From what I know ford was bought in the early 90's and they agreed to drop the Ford name in 2000. Do they use the Fait engine in the NH tractors or do they use their own engine.

It is true that Fiat owns all of New Holland and Case International, and others. There is absolutely no Ford agriculture anymore and hasn't been in years. The engines in New Holland tractors are from all over the world. Each series is built in a different country and has different engines. There are many Fiat engines in the "mix". All this mess is why my next (if ever) tractor will probably be a Kubota. I own a New Holland from 1998, but it seems that New Holland is really slipping into cheap plastic. Tom
