Hey everyone,
Local NAPA man tells me that there are no suppliers for the old style needle or pin bearings anymore. They are simply obsolete. So anyone other know about a place to buy them or, are they simply gone? Thanks for your comments.
Tom

That's pure BS. Many companies - including several in China are making them - even for some of the oddball stuff that you find in Model T Fords (I just bought some).

That's a crock. There are still plenty of new OEM applications that use a simple needle bearings. Get a better parts guy.

The NAPA man probably was looking in his book where all the needle bearings are being replaced by bushings. JUst tell him to cross numbers with the clevite book and then to wake up and smell the coffee.

There are cars being built right now with needle bearings. They must come from somewhere. :))

Yellow pages or yellowpages.com search bearings. Google needle bearings. Visit a real bearing place like a industrial bearing that supply that knows their stuff!

Got to jump on the wagon with everyone else and say he"s full of it. Call your local bearing supply house and tell them what size you need. Torrington, IKO, and several others, all make needle bearings from small to huge and anywhere in between.

Yep, that kind of service is just why the NAPA store in my area has closed its doors!
I deal at the locally owned parts stores, and can get anything i need from them--might have to wait a day, but i've never had to send away for parts. Those fancy chain stores, i stay out of them.
