O/T Altima

97 Nissan Altima misses on number 4. Took to all auto shops and Nissan place. All said it showed the knock sensor was bad. Replaced it and still does not hit on #4. Has fire to plug, changed the plug. Changed the injector with two that I know are good, took out of running altima, and still can take # 4 plug wire off and nothing changes.
Any ideas appreciated.
Tried Nissan board all information I got was best to take to Nissan place.
When Nissan ran cumputer check on car, mechanic there told me knock sensor and when I asked where it was located, he replied should be somewhere under the hood and either on or close the the engine. Don't want them to work on it.

Well it has spark and fuel. Does it have compression on #4? I'm thinking a stuck valve or blown gasket.

Shop that changed the knock sensor told me all 4
cylinders showed 190 pounds. Should have stated this in original post.

Was the plug wet with fuel when you removed it from cylinder number 4? In other words does it look like it is getting fuel into that cylinder? Have you tried putting a noid light on the injector wire to that cylinder to see if the injector is being powered?

I don't know about the noid light. How does it work and where do I find one. Plug was dry.

replacing parts from what trouble codes say is wasting money...could be any number of things setting code including bad wiring and corrosion...unless youre prepared to spend a couple thousand bux on tools and shop manuals to diagnose problem ,your best bet is a qualified shop.

I found the noid lights at Advance Auto. Other parts houses had never heard of a noid light. Cost $23. Will check later today. Temp is 100 and index is 113.
Sems simple to use. Also got name of auto mechanic instructor at local junior college. Said to bring by tomorrow after 4pm to car lot he work at after school.
