i worked for long tractor as asst. parts mgr. in their carrolton tx. branch house the tractors were made in eastern Europe they were Fiat design units

Leader was one.
Leaders were made by the Brockway family near Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Also made some under the Brockway name under an agreement with the truck maker and they changed to the Leader name after a dispute with the truck makers. I've heard it both ways and not sure which is true.

Pre WWII there were hundreds.
Post WWII the likes of Silver King, Leader, Keck-Gonnerman, Huber, Corbitt, Friday, Shepard, Earthmaster, Custom- who spawned Lehr, Rockol, Regal, and Montgomery Wards.

A few Long tractors have been in the area over the years. My grandpaw had a 2 wheel, hand operated garden tractor that I think I recall it being a Bradley. He worked a 3 acre garden with it. I was a city kid and lots of times when we would go out there he would grab me by the ear and "drag" me out to the garden to work.

Interesting spin off of that: He had 2 adjacent Dill plants between the garden and the house. One was about 2x the size of the other. On one occasion we were walking back to the house and he had to take a whiz. He fertilized the tall one and he told me about the results of fertilizing plants. Never forgot it.

Spin off #2: He had a pond about 150' in diameter and down there on the Texas coast water was only 25'down. He hand dug a well and that kept the pond full. The outlet pipe was under a huge Willow Tree and the water was cool. I spent many an hour sitting on that pipe, drinking that cool water and enjoying what the country had to offer.....being a city boy.

But if a dog pees on it the plant will die.

Knew a man that used to hunt for the oddballs and orphans. His last count was 53 tractors he had collected and restored. Haven’t seen him at the show for a long time and can’t get word on what happened to him. Passed on I’m afraid
