I would have to agree with you,I dont think in my 35 years in the farm equipment business I have ever seen a pre 65 930 with a power assist front end.
That is interesting,did you happen to take down the S#? Obviously,the owner put it on.

This tractor left the dealer like this new, I know the dealer who put the Elwood axle on it. I've even seen pictures of it at the dealer when new. I don't have the serial number at this time. I just know of it and I'm hoping the guy decides to sell it one day. He is the original owner too.

I would like to see a picture of where the drive shaft hooks into the transmission. I have heard the 6th gear had to be taken out for the front drive gears to go in. There was one of these sold on Ebay a couple months ago, and someone told of one on a 600.

The front axle that was on ebay, was incomplete, but I know where it went, it's here in PA. I'll look at it one day, but I think it's the same as this, just miising the steering knuckles.

Hi guys. I thought that all of the Comfort King tractors in the 930 series had the 8-speed transmission? Would you still lose 6th gear? Also could the front axle be dis-engaged? Redcru

You thought wrong. They made Comfort Kings 930 six speeds through 1966. On this fourm you learn a lot and are able to keep your Case info right.

I don't think the dealers name was on the nose.. The two holes shows the Old Abe medalion is missing.

Yeah I noticed the photo shop too.
But should have shopped the truck plates too. If I am not mistaken that dealership had a family memeber selling green tractors too. I been meaning to get ahold of that family due to our up coming show this yr. I mean the dealership. I got a rough idea where its at, but it would take some driving.

Certainly an unusual machine and worth restoring. Only 2WD 930s down my way in Oz. Here is a photo of my 1966 930 with my 1930 C model. Both as found, complete and good running condition. In another post, I have requested info regarding governor shaft oil leaks.

You should take some pictures of his 600 and post them here. Was it set up like that new, or was it a later addition?

Nobody, in that family ever sold green, that I know of, and I know them pretty well. Besides, if you figure out the dealer, they won't tell you where the tractor is. They want the tractor back, and they can't buy it either.
