Oil Filter Body on JD B

I need to replaced the rod in the oil filter area. I tried to turn it out but it would not come out. The only thing I can see is that the the Oil Filter Body has to come out How do I get this item out w/o damaging it.

It's likely allready damaged and why the stud spins. The filter can may not need to come out of the case,but the cast iron relief housing on top is the culprit. There is a stem up inside the can that you pull down to remove then you can get to the bolts to unbolt the top part. Even an I&T manual shows this and a home made tool to pull the stem.
