Oil leak

I have a 641 with an oil leak at the center, bottom of the trans to rear end housing case split. Leaks only with tractor running. Quits when shut down. Tried to scab sealant over it to no avail. Is there a pressure channel in the casting? Any tips on spliting the case and realigning internal components when going back together?

The pressure and suction lines from/to the engine mounted hydraulic pump pass through the transmission into the rear axle housing. There is an o-ring around each tube where the transmission and rear end join together and it definitely sounds like your pressure tube o-ring is bad. You will need to split the tractor to replace the o-rings and the paper gasket that goes between the housings.
