Oil seal

Is there an oil seal between the hydraulic compartment and the differential? Thanks in advance, Mike

Mike the oil runs through the whole transmission right to the rear

No there is no oil seal at that point, it is all one big reservoir Housing.There is one at the front on the input shaft from the Clutch and at the rear there is one on the PTO shaft and there are two on each of the two axle-shafts...John(UK)[email protected]

John(UK), my shop manual says to fill the transmission with SAE 80 or 90 mineral oil, GL-1 but I"ve seen where you recommend a 10W-30 multigrade oil. So, I assume there are no risk factors there?

The Multi-grade is a better oil than the plain GL1 and it covers a greater range of temperatures.
