Old Case tractor

Im about ready to get an old case im not sure what year it is yet i havnt really looked at it that much yet but the man i'm gettin it from says it runs but it needs a little work and this is my first time doin something like this. If i could have any suggestions please help.

The best suggestion I can give is once you can figure out a year and model, buy yourself parts and service manuals. After that, try to keep a sense of humor. Working with old iron can get frustrating at times.
