Old electric hacksaw

Looking for an old electric hacksaw peerless is one name i have seen they are heavy the frame is cast iron most of the ones i have seen have a 12in.blade that goes back and forth i don't have a picture of one if i did i don't know how to post it.

Where you located? I know of a guy that has a large industrial one under his carport here in VA. Don't know if it is for sale.

Why not use a sawzall with a metal cutting blade.

There's quite a few for sale on ebay, have you looked there?

Maybe you'd be REAL lucky and find one within a reasonable distance from you.

I have a Marvel 6A I sold a guy a while back. it's a good saw, but good blades are getting hard to find. not sure if he still wants it, as he hasn't came to pick it up. I don't think he knew it was 3 ph when he bought it. got 400 for it.

Check and see if you can still get blades for it. I've heard they are hard to find now everyone uses chop saws or metal band saws.
Nice thing with the old power hacksaws was you could set them going and walk away. Quieter than a chop saw as well.
