[Jimmy Ray in Ia]

Hi Everyone
Recently purchased an Oliver 1650. Fired right up at the previous owners place. Had it painted and now is very cold blooded and gets flooded easy. Looking for some advice before it hits the shop Many thanks Jimmy in Ia

My 1650's cold blooded too. I just try and make sure the carb is redone about every year and keep fresh gas in it

Go through and clean carb.

Sounds to me like you have an ignition problem. If you have the flooded condition you must not begetting a good spark. Have you checked the spark? What did the plugs look like? Does it has the orignal Holly distributor? If so, check the point gap too. You should have a good blue spark that jumps 3/8 of an inch.
