I overhauled my 1750, and the head gasket did not seal up. Orderd a new on and got it, in the non returnable box if opened, got it and it is the wrong one.

I am looking for a head gasket (as I have a head set already, minus a good head gasket). It is a 9/16" bolts and if I will get sn and year tomorrow. Can anyone help me??

A friend of mine had trouble with a "parts store" head gasket sealing on his 1855, so he o-ringed the head and got a new head gasket from Maibachs in OH. 800-808-9934

Did you run a tap thru the threads in the block and use antiseize when putting it all back together?? (assuming it's a diesel) x2 on the retorque!

Coolant got into the #1 clynder, torqued to the specs in my manual, do not recall what it was but will check tomorrow.

Everything checks out to spec, just did not seal up. Does anyone every use the cooper seal on them? I hate using something over, so I orderd a new one, but that was the wrong one, can not return it, so in need of a new one. I think a new head gasket will solve the issue. I did not get it running it long enough do anything, as I was warming it up to retourque when we notice the issue. Retourque and it did not solve hte issue.

I did not use antisieze but do not think that was the issue. THe threads were cleaned as the block was cooked and a tap was ran through them.
