Oliver 1755 Steering Problem

Was using a 1755 tonight and started it up and no turning to the right. It will steer to the left okay but nothing to the right. When you attempt to steer it to the right there is hydraulic oil leaking from the bolster. Can anyone give me some pointers?

Bad hydraulic hose or the housing cracked where steering gear is inside. Take the side panels off to see where it is coming from.

Did the housings crack often? It seems like they shouldn't being cast but what do I know?

I've never known one to crack,but here's a link to the breakdown on them. I think that unlike the 00 and 50 series that those are a closed center with a bleed off line. I'm not real familiar with those,but I wonder if the o-ring on the piston blew and it's just feeding right back through the line?

Define the word "often". You need to check a few things out. Do you have a shop book?

They don't crack often put yes I seen them crack. Yours probably isn't cracked but you never know until you look.

When I purchased my 1650 and was driving it home it all of the sudden would not turn to the left. I took the unit off under the seat and it had a aluminum oil jug seal in it blocking the oil flow. I removed the seal and it has worked great after that.
