Oliver 1865

Looking through a tractor mag. and a article stated that a moline G955 was the same as a Oliver 1865. My question is did these really exist and if so does anyone out there have a real one, and were many built.

If I may correct you slightly, the Oliver 1865 was a MM G950 and the Oliver or White 1870 was a MM G955. There are very few Oliver 1865's which were green. The White 1870 is red and white and were mostly sold in Canada. Being a G955 they have the MM 451 engine with an Oliver rear end and cab like an 1855. I believe there are some pictures of some 1870s and 2270s, which were the same as a G1355 with the 585 engine, on this site. Most of the 1870s and 2270s were sold in Canada but a few may have found their way into central MN. I suppose you could find one of these rare 1870s or 2270s if you knew where to look.

Dairy about 20 miles from where I grew up had a 1865 oliver,I always looked for it because it was odd.They sold it on their farm sale about 5 or 6 years ago.I think it brought 3500-4000.

Guy south of me who kind of farmed with molines had a 2065 which is also on the rare side. He traded it somewhere on a 2-150

What size moline would it be to make a 2065 oliver. I appreciate the responce also.
