The original subject was "Re: Oliver 550 power steering cylinder".
In the above archived post its mentioned that the ford 4000 power Steering cylinders will fit on
an Oliver 550. Is it the early Ford "round hood"4000 or the later square hood 4000, or both that
the power steering cylinders will work on an Oliver 550.
I have a 2-44 Industrial Loader backhoe and sure need cylinders. it essentially is a 550 with a
heavier front axle I've been told.
I've been to 2 hydraulic shops and they say they cannot rebuild them due to the way they
internally supply oil to the opposite end of the cylinder from where the connections are.
