oliver 66 fuel consumption

Doe anyone know what a oliver 66 (gas) would use for fuel on an hourly basis, gallons per hr. It would be under some load, but not heavy.

15 KW? Does't that work out to a thoretical 20 H. P.? Now is that always a constant load or does the load vary? Also is the 66 in good shape? Is it stock displacement or does it have larger sleeves and pistons been installed? At what RPM do you need to run the generator or is it PTO driven? Just asking? J.

I think it is stock displacement. I do know that it has had domed pistons when it was rebuilt about 20 years ago (300 hrs ago). The generator is PTO driven.

You'll be asking a lot of that 66 if you expect 15kw. 15 kw is 20 hp and if your generator is 90% efficient, you'll need at least 22 hp. A 66 is rated at 23 hp PTO. Might want to consider a bigger tractor.

Hi guys, funny you should talk about this. I ran my generator for two days straight a year ago February,it's 12000 kw,the 66 went through a tank of gas every 10 hours. I don't remember the capacity,16 gallons maybe,so 1.6 gal/hr.
