oliver 70 engine

What are the goal and objectives? Pulling?

The stock engine has limitations, namely parts availability. If I remember correctly, if you're going custom, you're going to be sinking a lot of time and money into it and you're probably better off with another tractor like a 77.

how big can that engine be made into , or whats the biggest that will fit in

Good morning, I’ve attached two pictures for your enjoyment. I do have a third tractor but didn’t have a picture of it.
The Hart Parr 70 I did a bit of work on it quite a few years ago, if I remember correctly it Dino at 50 horse and we could weight it in at 3200 pounds with a 175 driver quite easily. We put bigger sleeves and piston in it for sure. I also have an Oliver 70 that we pulled prior to doing the Hart Parr, that one would also slide into to 3500 pounds quite easy. If I remember that one would put out 39 on the Dyno. Lastly is a 77 diesel. Put in larger sleeves and pistons, did an offset grind to the crank, shaved pistons down to top on block deck. Pulled 3500 on up, +55 horsepower.
I don’t pull anymore so any and all are available.
