just wondering where u find serial number on a 70 and what people are using for pistons in a 70 to make a puller thanks

the original field hop up was to bore the sleeves to 3 1/4 and use Chrysler flat head pistons, you could follow the herd of sheep and build something else which would be easier and get alot more power for the money or you could do something differen't from the rest, I like seeing a 70 puller. Ser.# tag should be on the LH side of the block.

Sunday I watched a 70 pull the sled around the drag tractor and right off the end of the track. He beat second place by around 100 feet. There was a town road just beyond and his tractor isn't registered.

i used oliver 77 3 1/2 in mine 15 years ago i had the bottom of the piston welled up and had the tpo cut in to a high dome and some head work i do know of one with 3 5/8 pistons but he cant runn water in the block
