Oliver 77 diesel

I have a 53 77 diesel super and it runs but wont stay running someone put an electric fuel pump on it but im not sure it needs one anyone have any suggestions it my first Oliver diesel please help

Well how about more details? How long does it run? Do you have a load on the tractor when it stops? A 53 is not a Super so do you have one fuel filter like a Fleetline 77 or 2 like a Super 77? You need to have a few pounds of pressure at the injection pump. Have you checked it? Is there a mechanical fuel pump on the tractor or has it been bypassed and or removed? Have you changed fuel filter(s) Is the vent on the fuel tank cap good? Is there foreign material (dirt) in the tank? Start there first. I also sent you an e-mail. Let me know if you received it. Well I don't have a mechanical pump but that's not to say it didn't have one. Someone an electric one on it but I have new filters but last night I noticed im drawing air at the sediment bowl. So im gonna try and seal that and go from there. Thansk for the help man its my first and I always wanted one wanna make it nice one day but running first.
