I am going to an auction in central MN that has a late model 770 gas. Square fenders, wide front, straight tin, original paint, new rubber.

What do you guys think this is approximately worth?

I have seen them go from 2k to 4k depending on options power strng 3pt wide frt etc.i paid 2700 for a really nice 1963 with a wide front next to new rears.Orig paint no dents or big scratches.no ps though

One for sale in Rossville IN few years ago for $1500. Late model gas with wide front. Wasn't perfect but well worth that. At the time I just couldn't come up with an extra $1500. I know where it is now. I have tried to buy it since but it is not for sale. They use it for haying and his son has latched on to it as his. At least it got another young person interested in Olivers.

I have a 1963 770 and I just think they are a great tractor. Mine is now restored, it has wide front end with factory 3pt hydrahitch. Of course new tread all around. I just don't think I'd sell it for less than $7000. I probably have $4500 in it and I did all my own work except for a little machine work. I think these tractors that you find for 2-4k are a real bargain if they run well and all is functional, particularly if they have a 3pt hitch. What can't you do with one...built like a tank, quality everywhere you look. What is there not to like about an Oliver? I just think they are a real good deal.

So did you get to bring it home? If you are still looking for a 770, go to www.olivertractor.com . You'll find several listed on Larry Hardin's website.
