I bought an Oliver 88 WF a couple months ago and just went to pick it up yesterday. Its been sitting under a barn and hadn;t been started since I went and checked it out and bought it. The owner tried to start it to make sure everything was ok before i picked it up. It cranked over slow. He bought a new 6v battery and new cables and put on it and still the same thing. He had the starter checked. It was ok. The only thing I can see is that the generator belt is a little loose and that the new battery is on negative ground. I think the gauge was charging yesterday. We pulled started to get it on my trailer. When I got it home, second hit on the button, it started. Later though, it would barely turn over. Anyone got any ideas? I was thinking maybe he accidently put the battery on negative ground, and now it isn't working correctly. Thanks in advance for any help.
