Hello, I recently acquired an Oliver 880. It is a 1958 model year. I assumed it would be the Meadow Green and Clover White for paint colors, but stumbled onto a "Mist Green" in a thread on this forum.

Just curious on the correct shade.

Thank you

There was a good Oliver magazine article a while back about the mist greens and a serial number range was established, I thought they were all 1959.... here's an old (but I think reliable) bit of information:

The mist green range should be 73639 thru 73891. The starting point is easy--it is the start of the helical gear transmission. There were 252 serial numbers assigned but 249 built. I believe I read that only 4 were LP models, 70 some were diesels, & the rest were gas. I also read that they were all row crops.

I also found a later magazine article from Jul/Aug 2021 in my HPOCA magazine which confirmed the serial number range above, and said 213 had power booster, 6 had power booster drive creeper, and 30 had no power booster installed at the factory. Of the 249, 12 were LP, and non were built as high crops.
