I was wanting to know if anyone in the nc area can build my 283 diesel. i want to make it big!

You can stroke it one inch and a 4 3/8 internatioal piston in it . you will have to dry block it . I got one going together . find you a good machine shop and you can assemble it yourself its not to bad . Are you going to run a turbo or natural assp.

That will do you just fine . open the head up and put big valves in it . It is over 400 cubs

where can you get those pistons?

So with Tn boy"s set up, if using the 283ci. crank, you have around 451 cubes.

You could get more out of it with the stroke but you have to cut the block alot more . The pistons you can get used ones i will find out and let you know what sleeve and pistons to use .

Are you keeping this a diesel? If so forget the stroke as when you stroke it it will need to be rehardened
