Found one for sale 12 ft 6 inch spacings low profile rubber tires and hydraulic lift. Floor in box has been replaced. What's the good and bad of them can you still get parts? Thanks in advance. Dan

Well a 38 wouldnt have hydraulic lift, at least not from th factory, my book says they were offered on 15 inch tires but I have never actually seen one and I bet very few were made that way. I would guess its either a Model 64 or 76. Either way, all three are good drills.

Late model #38 drill had hydra-lectric lift available as an option. Sales brochure printed in 1953 shows a small picture with the lift attached. Other lift options where single, or double power lift (depending on size) and also manual levers.
Perhaps you could post a picture to determine the exact model you have. (lucky you!)

Its a No.38, hydraulic lift was added on they did a very nice job had to look real close to tell. Wants 200 dollars for it.

Yes the #38 was a very good and accurate drill. I've only seen them with high steel or high rubber tires. If you decide you aren't interested in it I would be depending on its location.
