Oliver Superior Manure Spreader

I"m in the process of restoring a ground driven #7 manure spreader, I was wondering if anyone has a source for the rims-new or used, or the correct size tire that they came with? It currently has truck tires on it, and i want to make it as close to factory as possible.Thanks in advance for any info.

A number 7 is before my time with Oliver, but one way to order those was with rims and no tires. That is how we got spreaders and then you mounted used truck tires on the rims. New Idea spreaders were that way as well.

I am not familiar with the #7 spreader. I do have a pair of wheels from an Oliver superior spreader I picked up from a scraped unit. They are 18" 6 bolt. Tires are junk but wheels are ok. Near Wichita ks. if interested.

I have a model 11 which is a little newer than yours. It has 3 or 4" X 16" rims with tractor lug 6.00-16 tires. I would probably get by with used car or truck tires but I splurged for the tractor tread since I didn't have much $ in it to start with.

I'll offer this advice b/c I have experienced it. If you plan on using the spreader and if you live in an area that is under snow all winter, car/truck tires might not cut it. Ground driven spreaders need the wheels to turn and not slip. Ag treads help with this a lot. Its not a problem all of the time in snow but sometimes can be frustrating.

I have an oliver spreader I believe is a # 7.It has 18" tires on it. My buddy has a pair of tires and wheels also.Located in PA. Looking for parts for a # 7.
