Opinion on JD 5625

Looking at a low hour MFWD open staion 5625 with a 542 loader. Has a 12x12 trans with LHR. Any have any experience good or bad on these. Thinking of trading in my 2wd 2350 on it.

I bought new a 5520 and have about 1200hrs on it, no complaints and its been a great tractor. It has a cab and I use it for small squares and loader work in the winter. Its no 4020 when it comes to weight but an all around good utility tractor. The best feature it has besides MFWD is the PTO E, it really conserves on fuel when cutting hay and moving pastures!

You should be happy with that tractor.. Seen a few break the PTO shafts but mostly road side mowers being abused..

I have a 5625, bought it new in 2008. It has a lot of power for
its weight and I have had no problems with it. I use it for hay
making, feeding cows, and general maintenance bush hogging
and what not. Matt is correct in that it is no 4020 or 4230 etc.
so as long as you use it for what it a 5000 series john deere
was designed for you will be very happy with it.

Thanks for the responses, sounds good. I understand it's not a heavy tractor, but should be good for haying and light loader work, brush hogging, etc. My 2350 does good, but have almost gotten stuck a few times and I could use a loader other than my Case 680.
