Just wanted to share some pictures of a tractor I just purchased and drove a few miles from home. Been wanting to buy this tractor for 25 years. Previous owner took very good care of it.

That is a beauty. Keep it well oiled down and sheltered so it stays that way as long as possible. Maybe in your living room on a turntable!!

this 1960 tractor originally was owned by my uncle in the early 80s in Melfort Saskachewan Canada. Mid 80s my neighbour 2 miles from my place in Ontario Canada purchased it from him for 1000 bucks which was the same price my uncle paid for it. So thousands of miles it was trucked and stored away until this spring when I was able to purchase it from my neighbour and have it back in the family name. P.S. I have to pay a little more than the previous price, and very proud to have it in my collection. My uncle is glad I am the new owner and told me that it has gotten slightly rusty, when he owned it the platform was all shiney and that they never got rust out there. I will give it a coat of oil and keep it all original.*sorry about doubling pictures... technical difficulties.

best oiling results i have found are a mixture one third hydraulic oil 2 thirds diesel fuel in a pump lawn sprayer. spray in on every thing. on the sheet metal rub it in with a very soft rag. On this tractor the hood fly wheel cover and grill got waxed with john deere detailer. great stuff I use it all the time and it doesnt leave white marks, can use it on imperfect paint areas. most JD dealers carry it and its in a handy spray bottle.

Interesting how the western standards were rockshaft delete yet the eastern standards had rockshafts and live pto. Figured it was a Canadian tractor as Waterloo standards were virtually unheard of east of the Mississippi.

WOWWWW!!!! Thats awesome -here is a 720 gas standard #7201604 -I bought on Friday at Haywood Manitoba- not as nice as yours -has rockshaft just like my other gas standard from Saskatchewan
