This has 3 positions which are obvious,up, down, and I guess middle is maintain. Ports are blocked off due to hose rot when I got her. '62 901, but when the lever is all the way back which I did not realize in earlier posts 3 point just creeps up and while idling I noticed today while plowing snow,10 degrees! Engine will slow down a bit, but in middle position 3 point is as responsive as a good bird dog. can a third hose be put on this? If soundguy is listening show a plan for front bracket for one arm on rowcrop nf. thanks, Dave

Is that the 981 you got from me?? Wasn't that hose hooked up so it did a loop?? Never knew why it was that way other then not having quick connects on the ends.

Your remote should be as you described. Many of the old remotes could be used with SA or DA cylinders. I run a one arm bandit on my 971 and just use one hose mounted to the forward most port. Back is up, middle is hold and forward lets gravity bring it back down. There is a thumb screw on mine that if actuated (screwed in), I could operate DA cylinders.

I don't understand your question about a third hose. When using the three point, the remote needs to be in the middle as you have found. Otherwise the remote gets priority and interferes with the three point operation.

Chris is a great help, here is a drawing from 2008 that he provided to help me build the front bracket. I just used 1/2" plate. The distance between your bolt holes can obviously be taken right from you tractor.

I painted the bracket gray originally (2009) and then painted red this last spring when I did some other work. The snow photo is from last winter, though we just got some the last couple of days I could blade if I wanted to.

You need a two-spool valve (two levers, 4 ports) to run a loader with a hyd. bucket.

It turned out well enough for a "hack" like me. Wouldn't want to show up my rough old tractor with anything perfect anyhow.

Thanks everyone! Yes Richard that is the 901 that I bought from you. Once I put a 2-14 plow on it the hoses blew. Going to take this remote and put it on my 801 I am restoring and put the dual remote off the 801 on the 901. Love the cylinder for top link, what a luxury. Old remote had the old banjo fittings, would an orb connection work with a quick connect on that? Makes sense to me since the old banjo had o-ring between fitting and remote. Thanks, Dave
