OT 34 years

Seen about different aniverseries on here. Well my wife, Char, and I made it to the 34 year mark today. Married on 1-7-78 and shirt sleve weather that day and the next day the first blizzard of 78 hit with the big one comming 2 weeks later. Lester Leroy Helmlinger, Wapakoneta, Ohio

We got married on April 4th.... Years ago. A spring snowstorm almost cancelled our wedding.

Congratulations to both of you on your 34 anniversary. My late brother made that trip to the altar 5 times. We got married in 1953 when I was in the Army. Soon will be our 59th. I went to school with her for 4 years and when they changed the bus route I graduated from another high school about 5 miles away from her school. Guess it started when I ask her to my senior prom. At that time the drifts in the barn yard were as high as the corn crib and I know at places they were a lot worse and he was in a harder hit area.

Congrats. Connie & I had #47 two weeks ago. The blizzard of '78 was really something. I was snowed in at home with two kids, she was in the hospital with the oldest. We had drifts to the eaves of the house. It took me two hours to dig the first 10' from the road with a tractor and loader.
