ot 63 GMC 4000 value

Located a barn find literally. 63 gmc 4000 grain truck in a barn
less/then five miles from home. Been sitting in there for long
while. No rust issues and all original low miles. I just stpped by
and gave it a quick once over and will need to go back over it
in more detail in regards to driveline. Owner wasnt home
spoke with hired hand.Wondering what a fair offer would be ?

Depends on condition of tires, probably wood bed but that"s OK if it is in good condition. Interior of cab? Hydraulic hoist? Probably a 305 V-6 engine, which is a good engine but not very thrifty on gas. 4 sp with 2-speed axle? Condition of brakes? If all those are there and in good shape, maybe $2000.
I have a "65 model and think it would be worth that.

You may get a bargain. Just remember your "bargain" will need all new hoses, belts, tires, brake lines (you aren't going to skip on safety, are you?), the gas tank flushed, fuel filters, oil and oil filter, antifreeze, battery, complete tune-up, plug wires, possible new wiring, and 101 other things that will crop up. It does have a good title, doesn't it? (Better check that first. Getting a title from scratch can get long)
I'm not trying to stop you as I've done some similar projects. Just be prepared.

Hard to put a price on. Around here they go pretty darn cheap since everyone is wanting something a lot bigger and newer. All I have seen are under 1000. These are all running and driveable, from worn to a little rough.

But, no rust might make a little difference. As the other poster said, tires and brakes might cost a few $$ if it has been parked for a while.

Thanks for the input guys. It is the 305 and 4x2 for gears. Tires are shot . Thinking my game plan was to offer scrap price. If they dont take that I,ll walk.

First off, is it actually for sale, secondly, what is he asking, thirdly, once these facts are known, then make an offer based on what you have learned from asking those questions.
