I'm rebuilding the motor for my MH 60 PT combine and can't find an oil pump kit. The ones available now have a 9 3/8" long shaft. The one out of this motor is 10 1/2" long.
The manual says the gears should have from .001 to .003 clearance in the chamber and make no contact with the walls. The picture shows a hand sticking a feeler gauge between the gear and the housing. They also give a spec for the end plate clearance, but nothing about the clearance between the gears.
Does the gear clearance matter ? If so, what do you think it should be ?
Thanks
Greg
