anyone ever here of them? google e3 sparkplugs. they claim up to 12 percent better fuel econemy. just wondering if anyone ever tried them and if it would hurt to run in in my 83 chevy with a 350 (carburated)

I googled it. Didn't read all of it. Indicated tests were on small engines - lawn mowers etc, so does not necessarily apply to larger engines, etc etc, etc.

'Up to 12%' means just that. Not more than 12% and would just as true if it was only 0.1%.

Your money, your choice. Just don't complain that I recommended them when you can't measure any improvement.

I can't comment about fuel saving, as I only have them in lawn/garden equipment. There is something to the claims they make, they claim you will never foul an E3.
My Ryobi 2 cycle string trimmer and leaf blower were terrible for hard starting and fouling plugs at our altitude with no main jet adjustment to correct it. Several different brands of new plugs were no improvment, but the E3's start much easier, never foul, and never misfire in 3 years use.
My old Roper rider mower with Briggs 17 hp twin had a hard cold starting and misfire at heavy load problem that I never solved. I replaced the mag coil/module/wires, thinking it had weak spark.
The new ignition parts including several sets of new ,different brand/heat range plugs with no improvment. I finally tried E3 plugs in it,totally different running engine now. Used to be it would not fire on a cold start at anything above slow idle and would misfire at anything above 50% load, thats why I replaced the ignition parts. With the E3 plugs, you can flip the throttle open, pull the choke and have it light off in the first couple turns. The heavy load misfire is gone, I can lug the engine down to half rpm in heavy wet grass without misfire. Been in the Briggs 2 years and still work great.

My first thought when I saw this new plug was the same as B&D, but using them has convinced me that they really do what they claim.
