OT gloves

When I was a kid about 55 years ago, I worked on a line crew. We all bought goatskin gloves made by Kunz Glove co. I was shocked to find them on the WEB. I ordered them from some lineman supply as far as I can remember. I ordered a pair, not cheap but never was. I was presently suprised when they came, same quality as they used to be. Made in the USA since 1900. I wore them all summer with no sign of wear. I lost them and just found them on top of the deisel tank. They have been through at least 5 inches of rain and one snow. they don't have any sign of wear and are still as soft and supple as ever.

Thanks for the testimonial; it's great to know that there are still good quality gloves being made right here in the USA.

I'd rather pay a little extra and buy quality, rather than save a buck or two on gloves and wind up replacing them more often.

And it's important to spread the word about such companies -- they need all the support they can get.

Here in ID we have a company called Yellowstone leather co, they make several types of gloves but my favorites are the elk skin gloves, thin but very tough and long wearing.

Couple years ago i needed a new pair of leather glove as i normally go thru two pair thru the summer . Bought a pair at Homer Depot and tell ya what i am still wearing them , they are well treated with fuel oil and grease and no signs of wearing out or the stitching coming out of them. Hard to believe this coming from Homer Depot.

American Workwear in WA has Bukaroo gloves. Very nice made in USA work gloves for $14.99.

I bought a pair of Kunz "drivers" gloves a few years ago. They gave good service, although quite frankly it's hard to justify buying the made in USA gloves when the imports are dirt cheap. I may order another pair just to support one of the last remaining US glove makers.

I usually buy a dozen pair of cheap gloves from a "seconds" dealer at one of the fairs I go to. Price is about $10 a dozen for good cloth gloves. I always have 2-3 pairs left at the end of the year. I also buy a pair or two of leather ones for $3 - $4 a pair. They last all year.

Decent gloves are hard to find here that are comfortable, durable, and reasonable all at once.... Was ordering some fence stuff from the States and ran across jersey gloves for dirt cheap from Wells Lamont... Gotta be good huh???? Ordered about a dozen pair of the nice brown jersey gloves I grew up with.... Got some black things with wells lamone cardboard on them that says made in china... Been 4 weeks and I just gave the last 2 pairs to the wife......... he brings me a 10 pack of bulky cotton gloves from work that I've just gotten used to....... Decent gloves don't do me much good because I'd just forget them somewhere before I wore them out....

Best pair of lined gloves I ever had was Wels Lamont. If Paul Harvey recomended them I bought it. Never found another pair likem. Need a good pair of leathers to keep the barbs out on wire or cutting hedge.
