My milk cow got in a can of calf manna I had and ate about 10 pounds, she weights between 8 and 9 hundred pounds, Is this something I should be worred about? she seemed fine this evening,I hope she will be alright come morning.
Anybody ever have this happen and if so what should I look out for? Thanks-mike

This would be somewhat equivalent to a grain overload. Likely could cause her to go off feed for a couple days. Give her all the good hay she will eat, accces to fresh water, no grain for a day, then bring her back to normal feed. Basically you would be helping her get over an upset stomach. The hay and no grain will help her chew her cud more which creates saliva which will buffer the excess acid caused by grain overload. Another concern could be if the milk replacer was medicated, you could have antibiotic contaminated milk. Wayne
