OT: Man Caves

my wife recently suggested that i move my record collection into the other bedroom (it covered half the wall), and then she threw in with the suggestion that i could kind of create a little room for myself with all my "junk". I was a little PO'ed that she wanted my stuff out of the the living room....but now as i sit here reading the message board, drinking a beer, watching the Sunday night football game, and listening to some music (volume on tv is turned down), as she sits in the living room and cleans Im starting to think i did pretty good!!

If i can get her to bring me some snacks now, i'll be set!

I'd wait a couple of weeks to ask for the snacks. Don't push a good thing. Complain occasionally so she doesn't think you enjoy it too much. (%^)

Good advice Don.

I'm gonna go in there now and see how long she's gonna be doing all that work....."its hot back in this little room" LOL!!

Man Cave,
Last year I inherited 2 1/2 acre of land and a 14x70 mobile home and a motor home all out in the country. I have been getting this same thing from my wife too. "Why don't you move your tractor and tools out there". "Why don't you take your two boats, race cars and other toys out there". Sometimes a woman just doesn't get it when they have pushed a man too far. They for some reason don't see that fine line between a mans total greif stricken life and a mans complete utter happiness. My Wife was a kinder garden teacher for elevin years. Try living with one of these teachers that doesn't know how to leave the job at the schoolhouse. Wait till she tries to put you out in the shed out back. Must be an Opra thing or something they learned off TV. Don't ever forget to build your dog house bigger and better than your human house. Dogs are easyer to get along with.

Mark....

No reason you should have it any better than the rest of us. The honeymoon is over and "We can live on love" is out the window. Life is short so take care of yourself.

While we were painting the upstairs I was set up in the basement with my manuals, books, owner manuals, computer, tv, a full kitchen and a bathroom. Now I'm back upstairs in the 3rd bedroom, have to share the main bathroom and the main kitchen. But, it is warmer.
Old line: A woman says she can change a man and can't; a man wants a woman to stay the same and she changes. 42 years of changes (yeah, both of us)

I've been thinking of adding a one bedroom shop, detached from the house 50'.Twenty grand would do it and we could share the electric meter,tv cable, telephone, and septic tank.It would provide a place for me and all my tools, toys, and bad habits to reside in comfort without appearing that we were separated. When family came to visit we would seem a normal couple, with no idea that I only showed up for meals and to get laundry done.My bride would gain more from this arrangement than I would.A clean house, decorated like she dreamed as a little girl it would be,without man smells and clutter.A real home for us both, just 20 thousand dollars away from paradise.

I know the teacher-thing. Married to a real dedicated elementary teacher and Mom is a retired teacher. The dog doesn't seem to mind it if we spend our time in the hangar watchin' my junk.

Here is a photo of my "Man Cave". Pretty much every thing I could want except for indoor plumbing. If I did that it would get taxed as 5,000 sq ft of living space! No thank you....I'll just mosey over to the homestead to pee.

Now if I could just get the wife to come out and clean.....
