ot truck tire conversion

Check a 155/16- may look a bit small, probably 165/16 tire. Newer tires with lower profiles-70%, 75, 80,85%, slightly fatter footprint. Maybe 175/16-75 profile. RN

dude, theres this place known as ME Miller tire, online at MillerTire.com you have to look around, but they have reproduction tires for trucks like that, they will send you a catalog

Look for LT 215 75 R16 usually they are only available in 8 0r sometimes 10 ply, possibly a LT 225 75 R 16 They should be bigger but they are @ the smallest of the current metric sized light-truck tires.

There are a few "passenger sizes that might work. One problem is the passsenger-tire rim "lip" is different than the flange on the "light-truck" rim you are using. I believe that is true for the LT tires I mentioned. So they may fit on the rim but they may not "seat" to the rim properly.

There are a few other sources out there for "older" tires other than Miller. He has a good business in the "older" sizes though. You have to ask people to look for you...some front-counter folks will say "no, not available anymore" just so they don"t have to look-up anything.

Have fun!!

Try LT235/85R16.

They are load range D (10 ply rated) and will carry about 3000 lbs each.

They are tall like the old tires yet narrow in width.

Should look a lot like the originals.
