OT. Wheat protien

Delivered my spring wheat during harvest to Cargil flower mill 3 miles from home. Has to be min. of 13 percent protien. first load was 15.3 2nd. load was only 12.7 They turned me back and would not take it. So I finished harvest running it all in bin. Today I had a semi haul it to a mill 40 miles from me. They have a min. of 12.5 Trucker just called said it tested 13.5 So I take a sample of whats left to local flour mill. they test it at 13.0 I don't know if I should chance taking another load to them or not. Sure hate to have to drag it back and don't know what I would do with it then because I don't have another semi load left. I haul it locally with 400 bu. wagon and farm tractor.

Very similar thing happened with a load of wheat sent by our local elevator this week. Load was rejected at the mill for some "small hairs" found on the sample. Driver called back home and owners told him to go have a meal then return to the mill. Second inspector passed it with no problem, even with being told it was the very same load previously turned down.
Had the same thing down to me wayyyyyyyyy back in the '60's with fresh processing tomatoes, never failed to have the load passed with the 2nd inspection (by a different inspector).

there are guys around here have trouble with corn with alflotoxin in it some have had a hot load rejected wentto end of line passed on second time through or take it to the next elevator and have it test 0
